The whole thing still made no sense whatsoever. Not personification, but the reason why he was so attracted to her. The girl, Camryn, had done a good job at explaining personification. Better than any of the damn teachers here had done. She had given him a simple sentence, while everyone else had taken several class periods to explain it. And he still hadn't understood it. God, Camryn must have been a freaking genius! An extremely beautiful genius, at that. She was easily the most beautiful person in the library.

Jayden snapped himself back into reality as the librarian shushed them. He rolled his eyes, then pulled a chair out and sat next to Camryn. "I'm Jayden," he introduced himself. The book the Camryn had been reading, Harry Potter, was sitting in between them. Eh, not his favorite series, but he had seen the movies, to he knew enought to carry on a decent conversation about them. Jayden picked up the book, slightly brushing her arm with his hand, and started thumbing through the pages. "Good movie," he commented, though he immediately regretted it. God, Jay, quit sounding like such an idiot!

What was it with Camryn that made it different? Sure he'd known her for all of five minutes, but he couldn't take his eyes off of her. Her smile captivated him, locking him in, making him never want to leave. But then the bell rang. Jayden groaned, and scooted his chair back loudly. The old librarian shushed him again, but he noisily grabbed his books and walked back to Camryn's side. "Walk you to your next class?" It didn't bother him a bit if he was late, because he was late all the time. Hell, he skipped class all the time. This gave him a new idea. Even though he was sure that she would refuse, he decided to ask her anyway. "You know what? Let's skip. Come one, we can go somewhere cool. It's the last hour of the day, and no one's gonna miss us, right?" His eyes gleamed with hope, and he mentally prayed that she would say yes.

There was something about Camryn that just mystified Jayden. Maybe it was the fact that he didn't feel this way all that often. OK, so he'd only felt like this once, and it had been totally weird, because she didn't like him back. Looked like that was going to be the case again. How could she like him? She actually probably thought he was a total stalker because he couldn't keep his eyes off of her. It was one of those things where he had to be with her. That's why he had asked her to skip class with him. And thank the Lord Jesus Christ she had said yes. God, this was going to be the day best ever.

Jayden walked side-by-side with Camryn all the way out to his car. It was silent, and kind of awkward, because Jayden couldn't think of anything interesting to say. They reached his Red Saturn Sky, and Jayden popped the trunk to throw his books in the back. He took the books from Camryn and set hers in the back too, before going to the driver's side. "Come on, get in. We won't get in trouble, I swear." Ok, so there was a tiny tiny chance that they might get in trouble, but who cared? This was something Jayden did all the time.

He pulled swiftly out of the parking lot, top down, and was easily going sixty five down the twisting driveway away from Dayton Academy. He felt much more confident around Camryn in his car, for some reason. This was another one of those things that didn't make any sense, but it definitely felt right. Hot car, beautiful girl, and destined... where? Then it dawned on Jayden that he had no idea where they were headed. "So, Camryn, where do you want to go?" he asked. "I was thinking the beach. It would be completely deserted now." There was something inside of him that told him Camryn wasn't the kind to take risks like he was. Whether it amounted to anything or not, this relationship was going to be very interesting, ladies and gentlemen.
