this goes out to the ones that fall in love !

Not to long after the bell rang the cafeteria was buzzing with talking and milling about trying to find places to sit. Crowds of people swarmed about the tables entertaining a boy toward the back of the room, he was a seventeen year old junior who went by the name of Chase Todaro. But there was no tray of food in front of this boy. In stead his elbow rested against the table top as his chin was propped in his palm. His pale blue eyes scanned to busy room. There where a few people here and there he recognized, and he could put a name to a few of the passing faces. But he didn’t really have a lot of friends. Maybe he just gave off bad vibes. Not that being alone bothered him much. Not many people knew who he was, maybe some of these people had never even heard his name before.

His hair was dyed jet black, with layers that fall into his face. It was teased to stand up in the back and straightened pen straight in the front. His eyes where perfectly outlined with a bit of onyx eyeliner. Two silver rings where through his bottom lip, showing off his self-pierced snake bites. Like always he wore mainly black. Black worn out converse covered the teens feet. A pair of black skinny jeans decorated with a white studded belt made Chase’s already thin legs appear even thinner, and toothpick like. A black and red ‘Bullet For My Valentine’ shirt hung over his slim torso, but was pretty much covered by a plain black hoodie. Chase was never seen without a hoodie or long sleeved shirt of some type on. Of course he couldn’t really walk around as invisible as he was now if he just wore a t-shirt. Seeing as he had years worth of scars scattered up and down his scrawny arms, from cutting and shooting drugs. If that wasn’t a attention grabber he didn’t know what was... So far during his stay at Dayton Academy he had managed to stay below the ‘Gossip Girl’ radar, that was just something he really didn’t want to get mixed up in. Plus he didn’t really want all his ‘secrets’ spread around campus. To him the whole thing made no sense whatsoever. Why people liked to read it, why someone wanted to write it... To him it just seemed like a waste of time.

He continued to watch people munching away at the nasty school lunches. Chase hardly ever ate at the schools cafeteria. Of course that was because of the drugs in his system. They kept him from getting hungry... some people might think he had a eating disorder due to his weight. But that to was caused by his multiple addictions. Chase had gotten pretty good at hiding his drug usage. Only someone who knew what to look for would be able to figure him out. Like the fact that at the moment his pupils where slightly dilated and his hands where a little bit shaky. But it was nothing he couldn’t hide.

Ooc/ Sorry it’s not that great... I haven’t roleplayed in forever.

School food really was the nastiest thing ever invented by mankind. Well, scratch that. School food was the second most disgusting creation ever invented. Topping the list was meat of any kind, minus the delicious chicken tenders that were shaped into an assortment of dinosaurs. But really now, those couldn’t honestly be called meat. Steak, ribs, hamburger, or anything of that sort on the other hand was an embarrassment to humans every where, and shouldn’t even exist. Not to mention that it was downright wrong to slaughter any animal just for human consumption. Now if it were a matter of life or death, then maybe Spense would have been a little more lenient on his belief. But living in the twenty first century meant there were plenty of other substitutions for meat, and therefore it was unnecessary to kill animals.

There was only one good thing that came out of the freezers that were hidden in the school, and that was the French fries. Simply orgasmic, or so Spenser thought. With just the right amount of salt coating the fried goodness, a miniature heaven was created. If it were possible to live off of such a fatty food, Spenser would have hands down converted his diet to the French fry-atarian. Of course, you couldn’t just live off of French fries. You needed protein, calcium, vitamins and who knows what else. So Spenser settled with eating the addictive food twice a week, or, whenever he felt like braving the ridiculously long line.

Today was one of those days that Spenser decided to waste two dollars on a basket of fries. And, even though the price was outrageous for the amount of food you actually received, Spenser hardly complained when he made it through the line in less than five minutes. Of course, now that he had made it through the line and was snacking on his food, he now faced the challenge of finding a place to sit. Everywhere he looked tables were filled to their capacity, and no one looked particularly friendly as the black haired male walked past. Ignoring the glares and whispers and gritting his teeth, Spenser made his way to the back of the cafeteria where he had spotted an empty table.

Only, when he arrived at his destination he found a student sitting in one of the chairs. He looked dazed and looking quite out of it, and Spenser could only imagine what the boy had been up to previously. Quirking a brow and pulling out one of the unoccupied chairs, Spenser placed his fries on the table in front of him and sat himself across from the boy. Glancing over at the boy, Spenser couldn’t help but grin at him. Now that he was closer to him, his former thoughts about how he had spent his time was confirmed.

Leaning back slightly in his chair, Spenser pushed the basket of fries across the table so it landed in front of the rather skinny boy. ”You should eat something. It helps.”

i Dont wanna be, another punk trippin’ sanity !

By now most of the people in the room had gotten they’re food, found a place to sit and started to chatter amongst themselves. But Chase still sat alone in the back of the room. Chase only cut off his graze out over the swarms of people when he heard a chair across from his being moved. His icy blue eyes glanced toward the boy who was now sitting across the table from him. He had seen him before. Probably just passing in the hallways, or for all Chase knew he could have been in a class with this boy. He was normally in his own little world during the teachers boring speeches, it’s not liked he would really have to use half the stuff the schools tested on anyway. It was amazing he wasn’t failing anything yet. This boy across the table from him looked like someone Chase may have gotten along with, Back when Chase was still ‘normal’ and had friends. He was still pretty convinced he would still have friends in Canada... Something about The States and they’re really hot summers just didn’t mix to well with him. It wasn’t like he looked or acted that much different then any other teenager here. He didn’t say the word ‘about’ like ‘aboot’ nor did he add ‘eh’ to the end of question. Like a lot of people suspected from Canadians. That was pretty much just a common stereotype.

Chase raised an eyebrow slightly as the boy grinned at him, offering another person a friendly smile wasn’t exactly weird. But Chase could already tell where this might end up going. ‘You should eat something. It helps.’ he heard the boy say as he pushed the basket of fries toward him. “No thank you...” He replied directly after. Taking a single finger and pushing it back to the other black haired boy. He wasn’t hungry, plus in his opinion he’d rather starve to death then eat anything that this cafeteria claimed was food. Even after trying to down just one meal when he first started attending Dayton Academy, he had come to believe anything they said was meat was made out of rubber, and the scrambled eggs could erase pencil. Not something Chase was too keen on injesting.

He didn’t really talk to people all that much, so he had a tendency to be a little awkward or impolite. But he was actually trying to start up some type of conversation with this boy. “I’m Chase...” He introduced himself, figuring if they where going to talk for any amount of time this boy might as well know his name. Anyways, maybe he’d get a name in return so he could stop thinking of the student across the table from him as ‘that guy.’ He pulled the sleeves of his hoodie down over his hands slightly before drumming his fingertips lightly on the underside of the table. It wasn’t like it made much noise or anything, he just couldn’t sit still.

By nature, Spenser was a friendly and outgoing kid. He didn’t care what people looked like and he didn’t care if they were hated by everyone else in the school. If they were sitting alone at a lunch table in a room full of kids, he would make the effort to talk with them. Hell that was usually the times he was most likely to strike up a conversation. And this kid was no different. On the outside, he looked just like another scene or emo kid in this school and Spenser couldn’t help but laugh at that fact. People already got him and Steele mixed up enough as it was, despite the height difference. But now that a third black haired kidded had shown up, that only added to the confusion. However, it was always fun to see how many people they could confuse at once.

Watching with curiosity as the black haired male turned down his offer to dine on the fries; Spenser let his previous smile contort into a small frown. He stopped the food from falling off the edge of the table with one free hand, using his other to pluck one of the salty fried potatoes out of the bunch and pop it into his mouth. ”Suit yourself.” Spenser shrugged, done with trying to offer up his lunch to some stranger. If he wanted to be hungry the rest of the day who was Spenser to stop him?

There was a silence that followed, in which time Spenser had managed to chew on a few more of the school’s fries. Damn, those things were good. Nonetheless, fries could only keep his attention for so long. And when there continued to be no conversation between the two, Spenser was preparing himself to leave. Just as he was wiping stray particles of salt off of the table in front of him, the boy’s voice carried over to him once more and Spenser looked up. Pausing to watch as Chase tried to sneakily pull his sleeves down over his hands, Spenser raised one eyebrow up at him before offering his name in return. ”I’m Spenser. You can call me Spense or whatever else you can think of.” Spenser’s eyes wavered between the boys eyes and his fingertips which were mindlessly drumming against the table.

the sun sets fast these days !

‘Suit yourself’ The boy across the table said when Chase had declined his offer. The drugs he had in him kept him from getting hungry, at least for a few more hours. But by then he would have already shot up again. So that really kept him from feeling hungry at all. He only had to eat when he wanted to, and looking at the food everyone else was eating, it didn’t really didn’t look to appetizing to him. He lifted a hand to brush a few stray bits of dyed hair away from his pale blue eyes as the boy across the table stated his name. Spencer... he had heard his name somewhere before.

“What do you do for fun around here, Spencer?” The question was really just to get a conversation going, and to keep anymore lingering silences away. He leaned forward slightly, resting his chin in his hand that was being supported by his elbow against the table top. All the while he was being carful to keep his hoodie sleeve up over about half of his hand. Chase had a lot to hide, and one slip up would cost him dearly. He didn’t need all his secrets out flooding the schools students. You know how word gets around in a school with a bunch of gossipy girls... Not saying the guys didn’t do their fair share of passing along other peoples privet information, because many of them did. Chase didn’t have anything against Spencer, he hardly knew the kid... But Chase was very slow to trust people. He didn’t want to run any risks at all... at least not yet.

So far Chase’s stay at Dayton Academy had been rather boring. All he did was sit by himself, do drugs and do school... if he got around to doing his schoolwork that is. Nothing he couldn’t do in Canada... What was the fascination with American schools anyway. So far it seemed just like any other school. Once he decided it didn’t really matter all that much he turned his attention back to Spencer.

OOC/ I’m sorry it’s pretty short, I’ve had some real life family issues. So i haven’t’ been able to get on as much. But hopefully things will straighten out soon... once again, I'm sorry for the shortness.
